Mini Piling in Liverpool for Extensions & New Builds

We carry out mini piling & underpinning to create piled foundations for house extensions, new builds and structural works across Liverpool, the Wirral and surrounding areas.

Most of the work we take on is in tight access back gardens and built-up areas, where traditional foundations aren’t practical due to ground conditions, drains or nearby trees. Using compact equipment and the Grundomat mole, we install piles in areas where larger rigs simply can’t get in. We do also use rigs when needed for larger piles.

We work directly from structural engineer designs and alongside building control, installing piles to the required set with full records provided. All reinforcement and concrete is completed in line with the design, with no guesswork or changes on site.

Whether you’re a homeowner or builder, we provide straightforward advice and fast quotes — usually within the day.

Piled Foundation for Home Extension in Liverpool

Piling Liverpool – This job in Litherland was for a single storey kitchen extension on a 3 storey house. The job was tight so the neighbours fence on one side was removed by the builders. The original house had been piled and building control like to keep similar foundation type in order to prevent differential settlement.

Here the job is concreted ready for the bricklayer to come and build upto dpc on the outside and  whichever height your floor style dictates to on the inside. Once a job has been piled, a suspended  floor is normally required.

F.A.Q's About Piling in Liverpool

How deep do piles go in liverpool?

Athough you can never tell how deep a pile will go, as you drive them to a specific resistance, most of my jobs around Liverpool have gone relatively shallow. A small job at Vauxhall saw them all go less then 3 metres deep, similarly at Toxteth all went just under 4 metres whilst a job at Aintree a couple went 6 metres. The piles on the job shown above in Litherland all went just over 2 metres.

How much does piling in liverpool cost?

I know you want a figure, but it depends on a few things with the size being the most obvious. We charge based on the linear metres of beam required and the amount of piles. Also if you have trees nearby you may need heave protection putting in. If you give me a quick ring, message or email, with the dimensions of your job or some plans, I can usually get back to you very quickly with a no obligation quote. Depending on the size of the extension, you sometimes need piles and beam internally.
