Piling Penrith – The piling here was for a small extension around 3m x 3m. Four 150mm piles were needed and here you can see the job once the piles have been sent down, and the steel reinforcement is placed on top. We then shuttered on one side to save on wasting concrete. You can see the pale spacers that keep the shuttering away from the reinforcement to give the rebar an adequate amount of concrete all the way around.

Once building control have been and inspected the reinforcement and pile locations, we can pour the concrete. At this stage we have vibrated the concrete down the piles and in the beam to get rid of trapped air. We have also leveled it with the help of the laser. You can see it’s now at a nice height to work from.
