Piling Cheshire – This job at Crewe was for a single storey extension. We were approached with an engineers design and ordered the steel rebar according to the design and made the cages. Here the job, after being piled and having the beam installed, is ready for building control to inspect before we concrete it.

The rig is being used here to drive larger piles for this large house near Congleton. The piles sized here are 220m and we drive them down, dropping the weight from a set height, til the piles are moving a certain amount per 10 blows. This amount is dependant on the weight being put on the piles and is set by the engineer.
